Professor Kaliappan Gopalan Selected to Give Keynote Address

Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor, Kaliappan Gopalan, has been selected to give a keynote address at the International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications (ACC-2011) in Kochi, India, on July 22, 2011. His keynote address is titled Keyword Spotting in Speech Communication – An Overview. This event is organized by Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology in association with the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)- SIGWEB, Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs), and other organizations.

Purdue Calumet students place 5th in NASA’s ’Great Moonbuggy Race’

A team of Purdue University Calumet engineering and technology students placed 5th out of 42 entries—the best in university history—in the College Division of NASA’s 18th annual Great Moonbuggy Race, held earlier this month in Huntsville, AL.
